What should I expect on my first appointment?
I supply a professional table, clean linens, music and professional massage cream. On your first visit, I will ask you a few medical history questions for purposes of possible contraindications. This will help me fit the kind of massage you may need at that particular session. If you have any new conditions on your next sessions, please let me know.

Are there things I should or should not do before my treatment?
No eating.
Leave time to rest afterwards.
You may take a warm shower, or use hot packs to warm and relax muscles.
Refrain from drinking alcohol, coffee, pain relievers or smoking.
Breathe deep and RELAX!

Will the massage hurt?
Depending on how your muscles are feeling you may either feel a pleasant sensation, or if an injury is present, it may be uncomfortable at first, but noticeably lessens the first few minutes. I will always try to work within your comfort zone. Communicate with me on the pressure. Each individual responds differently to touch. It may increase or decrease it, emotions, comfort. Pain is a major reason of pathologies to seek for medical health. Massage is a great way to relieve this physically, and mentally since you can 'feel' it.

What will I feel after the massage?
You might feel energetic, or nausea. You might feel cold, or tired. You might feel toxic.
Eat a few hours afterwards. Rest.

How long should I wait until my next session?
I recommend six regular follow-up visits to reap the benefits of the therapy. If recuperating from an injury, you may wish to receive a massage once a week until improvement. As with any other preventative treatment, scheduling once every two weeks will extend the results. Regular routine will range from once a week to once a month.

Should I ask my doctor about getting massage?
A Doctor's prescription is highly recommended if you have any contraindications such as post-surgery, cancer patients undergoing radiation/chemotherapy, recent severe injuries, first trimester in pregnancy. Any infectious diseases, flu-like symptoms, or recent heart attack are also contraindicated. Massage Therapy complements other treatments such as supervised medical care, but doesn't replace them. And, no suggestion is being made for you to discontinue any medical treatment you are currently undergoing which benefits your condition.

What kind of massage do you offer?
Swedish; Deep Tissue; Hot Stone.
All of the above include my incorporating a little of everything I've learned to add and benefit your massage experience, i.e. myofascial release, gentle stretching, and other techniques.

What kind of products do you use?
I use non-greasy, professional, unscented massage cream. If you have a particular allergy/preventative oil or cream, please provide this for your massage to avoid any allergic reaction(s).
